ASP Testimonials

Ann is a native Californian, whose art classes and religious studies classes at Occidental College, together with her diverse background, experience and personal interests (Ann has worked as a photographer, a musician, an elementary teacher, and a probation officer) merge together in the posters shown below. . In 1986 she began doing her own art using paint markers on heavy paper, reflecting the influences of world ethnic art, spirituality, child abuse, quilting, Klee and Kahlo, and women's studies. Her art has traveled the country in NARSAD Shows (Nat'l Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression) and has been in solo showings in Texas, Connecticut, and numerous California cities. She also uses certain art in slides with her poetry for the education of foster parents and Child Abuse Social Workers. Ann has two children and two teen-aged grandchildren.
