Ann is a
native Californian, whose art classes and religious studies
classes at Occidental College, together with her diverse
background, experience and personal interests (Ann has
worked as a photographer, a musician, an elementary teacher,
and a probation officer) merge together in the posters
shown below. . In 1986 she began doing her own art using
paint markers on heavy paper, reflecting the influences
of world ethnic art, spirituality, child abuse, quilting,
Klee and Kahlo, and women's studies. Her art has traveled
the country in NARSAD Shows (Nat'l Alliance for Research
on Schizophrenia and Depression) and has been in solo
showings in Texas, Connecticut, and numerous California
cities. She also uses certain art in slides with her poetry
for the education of foster parents and Child Abuse Social
Workers. Ann has two children and two teen-aged grandchildren.
